Website Redesign,
With The Maths First.
A redesign is the most expensive thing an agency can sell you, and it is often the wrong purchase. We start by working out whether you actually need one.
How we actually work on this
Rebuild or repair — the rubric
We published the rubric we use before spending anyone's budget. It has told clients not to rebuild, which costs us the bigger project and is still the right answer. Getting this decision wrong is a five-figure mistake before any design happens.
Keeping the traffic you already have
The classic redesign failure is a site that looks better and ranks worse, because URLs moved and nobody mapped them. Redirects, structure and internal links come before visual design, not after it.
Faster, measurably
We rebuilt our own site as static HTML and wrote up what actually moved. We also measured how much a Lighthouse score varies between runs on an unchanged site, which is worth knowing before anyone celebrates a number.
A site your team can run
Editable where it needs to be editable, and locked down where a well-meaning edit would break the layout. If you need us for every content change, we have built it wrong.
The work behind the claim
Not a list of capabilities. The actual builds, the writing that shows the thinking, and the sectors we have done this in before.

Scoped so you can say no to half of it
Run the rubric
Rebuild or repair, decided against published criteria rather than a sales instinct. Sometimes the answer costs you nothing.
Map before you design
Every URL, every redirect, every internal link. This is the step whose absence causes the classic post-redesign traffic collapse.
Launch and verify
We check the live site after deploy with a cache-buster, in more than one browser engine, rather than trusting a green build.
We are in Vancouver, British Columbia, and rebuild sites for clients across Canada, the United States and Europe. If you are local, we will happily do the first read in person.
Straight answers
How do we know we need a redesign?
Often you do not. Start with the free 48-hour teardown — it will tell you whether the problem is the design, the structure, or the measurement, and those have very different price tags.
Will we lose our search rankings?
Not if the migration is done properly. Every existing URL is mapped before design begins and redirected on launch, and we check the live site afterwards rather than assuming the deploy worked.
What does a redesign cost?
There is a cost calculator on this site that will give you a real range in about a minute, without a form in front of it.
Start with the teardown,
not the invoice.
Send us your URL and we'll send back what's slow, what search can't see, and what we'd change first. Two business days, free, no call required.
