On Friday September 25 we took over the third floor at Suite Genius in Mount Pleasant with Sprizzini, three taps and a shelf of bottles nobody had seen. The film is back from the lab. The whole night is here, all four rolls of it, and every frame is yours to save.

What was in the cups

Three pours went on tap that had never been on tap anywhere: Salted Grapefruit Limoncello, Tequila Hugo Spritz, and Peach & Mango Lambrusco. We wrote them up before the night in the drinks list, when they were still drawings.

On the night they came with a garnish station that got out of hand. There was more citrus than anyone planned for and one very large tin of olives, which ended up in more photographs than most of the guests.

Under the cloche

The drinks list promised a case of limited-release bottles and refused to say what was in it. Five came out on the night: Dirty Picante Negroni, Chamomile Martini, Darjeeling, Strawberry Spritz and Eucalyptus.

The room

Suite Genius gave us the whole third floor, kitchen and patio included. It ran as a family afternoon until seven. After that Liam, who records as Pizzy, took the volume up and kept the floor until the end.

The draw

Sixty-nine people put their names in the hat for a free five-page website, designed and built by us, launched on the winner's own domain with a year of hosting. We said the draw would be at nine. It was not at nine.

The name that came out was Sophia Milsom. Sophia, check your email.

The photos are yours

Every frame on the wrap-up page has a save link, and on a phone it opens the share sheet so a photo can go straight to Instagram. Find yourself in the roll and take it.

Posting one? Tag @sprizzini and @rough_works_agency. If there's a frame you'd rather we took down, email [email protected] and it comes down.

You took photos too. There's an upload box on the same page, and the good ones go into the slider.

Thank you

Four thank-yous we owe:

  • Pushr Video shot the night end to end. Their cut is still to come.
  • Claire Pipher was there with a camera all night.
  • Liam, who records as Pizzy, ran the music from the first pour to the last.
  • Suite Genius handed us a floor and trusted us with it. You can book the same space.

If the night gave you ideas

Sprizzini will roll the cart and the taps up to your own thing: weddings, launches, office parties. Talk to Andy.

The labels, the drink films, the invitations, the posters and both websites were ours. There's more on how that came together in the Sprizzini case study, and on the thinking behind it in our guide to craft beverage website design. If Friday made you think about your own brand, that conversation is free.
